If you’ve been using Harrison Assessments position suitability and Paradox reports for a while, you are probably fluent at making accurate assessments of fit by now.  You may also be starting to ask new questions that those reports don’t fully address.  Such as

  • How can I look at more factors beyond the direct assessment of job fit, to assess fit with the boss, the team, and the cultural environment?
  • Are there more subtle measures that do not show up on the Paradox Graph? 
  • How do I get more detail to flesh out some of the more general Traits that are particularly important to my environment? 
  • Are there other factors to look at that would support coaching and development?

Sharing personal experience, that was about the point at which I myself went through the Expert Training with Dan.  Actually, being the way I am, by the time I sat down in the Expert Training I had really started to feel I knew HA in depth – after all, hadn’t I already done more with HA than anyone else in Hong Kong?  Wasn’t I already the ‘go-to’ authority?  I was feeling cocky, but within seconds of starting to speak, Dan had swept away my preconceptions and I’d rediscovered a wonderful sense of ‘beginner’s mind’, a sense that has continued for years afterwards!

Having lost count of the number of times I’ve personally been through the Expert Training, and with Dan’s authorization to pass it on myself, it’s one of the greatest joys of my work to support you to take your skill to the next level.

Note, on a purely business-like note, if you’re looking for something that sets you apart in the marketplace, the Expert Certificate is still very rare.   If you work as an internal ‘company’ expert or you are a self-employed professional the USP of the HA Expert Accreditation is a valuable differentiator to boost your career.  What’s more, at this time there are only a small handful of people in Greater China who have their certification to use the Main Graph.  Within a few months you will be one of a very select group, simply by doing the work you would have been doing anyway, better.

The Expert Accreditation consists of three elements:-

  1. a structured training class that takes just one day
  2. your own practice, the recommendation – based on experience - is you should see 100 profiles
  3. a review of your skill, reviewing a live profile in person with Ava Harrison or with Dan. 

 

Each one of these elements brings great value in itself – put together, we experience a powerful synergy generated between them. 

The training class gives you essential knowledge and insights. 

At the end of the class your HA account is unlocked to give you access to the Main Graph, and you will already know ways that you can get more value from the HA profile that you can use to delve into mission-critical decisions and conversations. 

You will find that each time you review a new Main Graph, you are seeing things you previously missed.  Each time you work with it you get new insights that you can apply the next time you use HA.  This is why we recommend 100 profiles before doing the final review – as surprising as it was to me, the learning-curve really does continue rapidly as your skill in learning how to learn from the graph itself begins to accelerate.
